Lana Wood, on Sister and James Bond

As one of the Bond girls immortalized in the franchise, Lana Wood was invited to walk the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of the latest 007 movie, "Skyfall," on Saturday. But she had to decline, "making so many people mad at me," Wood said.

The reason? She will be at the Castro Theatre on Saturday reminiscing about her big sister, Natalie Wood. Her appearance is part of a weekend-long film festival featuring the beloved star who died in 1981 and remains forever young.

The two competing events encapsulate Lana Wood's claims to fame. She has lots to say about her sister's life and controversial demise. (The case of her drowning death was reopened this summer.) As for playing Plenty O'Toole to Sean Connery's Bond in "Diamonds Are Forever" in 1971, Wood, speaking from her home in Ventura County, can go on - well -forever.
