This post was originally written in November 2012. Of course, President Obama is a year into his second term now (almost), so the first sentence is a little dated. But that's just the way I roll.
With Barack Obama secure for a second term in office, the focus is inevitably turning to “what if” scenarios. How could Mitt Romney have won, and if he had won, what would his presidency look like? It's easy to forget that these conversations happen after every election, and results of so many could have been different and changed the course of history. The presidency is a powerful position, and every one of the 43 men who has occupied that office has done something to mark his stamp on it.
