Herman Cain Dead of COVID-19

Herman Cain, a former Godfather’s Pizza chief executive who sought the 2012 Republican presidential nomination pushing a simplified tax plan he called “9-9-9,” has died. He was 74 years old.

The businessman died in an Atlanta-area hospital where he had been ill for several weeks after being diagnosed with Covid-19.

“A Powerful Voice of Freedom and all that is good, passed away this morning,” President Trump tweeted Thursday afternoon. “Herman had an incredible career and was adored by everyone that ever met him, especially me. He was a very special man, an American Patriot, and great friend.”
