This beach is the bomb.
A leftover World War II anti-submarine mortar was detonated Wednesday in Britain, the Royal Navy announced.The unexploded bomb was discovered at “unusually low” tide on a beach in western England, not far from the popular tourist destination of Weston-Super-Mare.
“After excavating around the device we established that the device was intact and possible live,” the Royal Navy said. Taking no chances, they disposed of the bomb in a controlled explosion.
