As we all know fighter pilots aren’t shy when it comes to their job. They’re known for showing off their skills and their expertise. This was no different for the fighter pilots of the imperial Japanese navy who were showing off a little too much. These pilots were engaged in aerial death dances above the sea and these pilots were being way more than simply being cocky.
Lieutenant Jack Conger was a USMC pilot during the Guadalcanal campaign. He flew his F4F wildcat against the Henderson airfield. His main job was to attack the Japanese bombers and to provide some air cover for the distressed marines on the ground.
