Banking System of the Knights Templar

The Knights Templar, officially known as the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, was founded in 1119 CE to protect Christian pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land. Initially a small group, their mission quickly expanded, earning them the favor of the Church and European nobility.
