In a history-making discovery, archaeologists have unearthed an incredibly vivid and well-preserved Roman mosaic floor in a farmer’s orchard in eastern Turkey, not far from the old Roman Empire’s border with Persia. The floor was first found by the farmer, who dug up a section of it while planting trees, and once he’d revealed his discovery to the authorities a team of experts were dispatched to complete the excavation.
