Archivists Decipher Untold Stories from the American Revolution

Anyone can volunteer for the Revolutionary War Pension project to transcribe and tag more than 80,000 pension files from America’s first veterans and their widows. These documents contain diverse narratives that fill gaps in the historical record and allow the NPS and the National Archives and Records Administration to better manage and interpret records for America’s upcoming 250th birthday.
