Theatrical Version of Lou Gehrig's Farewell

In 1939, after playing in 2,130 consecutive games over 14 years, Lou Gehrig, "the Iron Horse," benched himself. Gehrig's struggles led him to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, where he was diagnosed with ALS. On July 4, "Lou Gehrig Appreciation Day" at Yankee Stadium, Gehrig delivered his farewell speech to a packed crowd.
