On July 27, 1996, a pipe bomb detonated in Atlanta's Centennial Olympic Park, killing two and wounding 111. Two more bombings in 1997 led the FBI to Eric Robert Rudolph, who disappeared into the Appalachian Mountains. Rudolph was finally arrested in 2003 and pled guilty to four bombings in 2005.
