Siege of Khe Sanh and Tet Offensive

North Vietnamese Army and their Viet Cong cohorts launched attacks on American base in Khe Sanh and elsewhere in Vietnam in January 1968, beginning a bloody year of battles that did much to shape the outcome of the Vietnam War.
