Bombing of Dresden: An Atrocity?

The Bombing of Dresden took place February 13-15, 1945, during which 722 Allied heavy bombers dropped more than 3,900 tons of high-explosive bombs and incendiary devices on the city. The resulting firestorm destroyed 15 square miles of the city centre and at least 22,000 people were killed.
